Prayer Spaces For Students

With all the mayhem that is going on in this world, could you imagine a space dedicated to re-centering, grounding yourself and connecting with your higher being? Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and other religions could have the opportunity to come to a safe space and connect with an important part of who they are. Every religion has some form of prayer or time spent speaking and/or sitting in the presence of a higher power and being one with themselves. Whether it be God, Jesus, Allah, Buddha, Brahman, or other deity; children, youth and other students can have time to check out from the chaos of life and connect in a positive space.

If having these spaces means the difference between having a child go through their school day afraid or brutalized and being grounded, focus and feeling safe then these spaces are needed. It does not mean that one religion has to force their views and beliefs on another but what it does mean is that a critical piece of who someone is can be exercised while also providing sanity in the school space.

There is an organization that is taking this seriously, has created spaces and is committed to helping others join the movement and they are Prayer Spaces In Schools

These spaces can be very valuable for religious purposes or used simply as a space of reflection where students can take a load off or prepare for their day. Allowing a student to experience these spaces can have a very positive affect on their academics, mental health and overall well-being. Students, youth in particular, deserve these spaces especially at a time when they are growing, curious and discovering the world.

Will you join the movement and offer schools a space that promotes health, wellness, positivity and growth? Say YES to Prayer Spaces.
